Dr. Junu Rajan is a Specialist Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist at Al Ahalia Hospital, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, where she works in an ISO 15189:2012 accredited pathology lab. She has done many oral and poster presentations at many national and international CMEs and conferences. She was one of the chairpersons at the Emirates Pathology and Digital Pathology conference held in Dubai in 2022

Professional Biography

She earned her Medical Degree from Government Medical College, Kottayam, and earned a degree in Pathology from Yenepoya medical college. She has done observership at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, India, and NIMHANS, Bangalore, India. She has a Diplomateship of the Royal College of Pathologists in Histopathology.

She has a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt. She is a Certified Quality professional (specializing in healthcare quality). She has a Certificate course in Medical laboratory technology management and a Certificate course in Blood banking management. She has done a certificate course in Genomic Technologies in the Clinical Diagnostics St Georges University of London and Genetic Inheritance for the Pregnancy Pathway from the St Georges University of London.

She has also worked as Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor at Dr. SMCSI Medical College, Karakoram. She was training Undergraduate and Postgraduate training, Examiner and coordinator for Medical Lab Technician students, and Pathology Registrar and Assistant Blood Bank Officer along with the daily routine of reporting. She also worked in DDRC SRL, Trivandrum, and HINDLabs, Trivandrum as a Consultant Pathologist.
