Dr. Raj Gopal has been working at the Ahalia Hospital, Musaffah as a specialist in Plastic Surgery since April 2019 when he joined us with 4 years of experience working in a high-volume academic institution in Kerala, India. Having completed his super specialty training in Plastic Surgery from the Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, as one of the University toppers, he went on to clear his Diplomate Examination with the National Board in Plastic Surgery.

Professional Biography

He did his masters in General Surgery at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, where he cleared his MS exam with two gold medals. He also qualified for his Diplomate of National Board certificate, in General Surgery. He is an alumnus of the batch of 2001 of the Government Medical College, Alappuzha, A two-time recipient of the coveted RN Sinha gold medal from the association of Plastic surgeons of his home state, he has also published his works in many indexed international journals and has presented his original works at numerous prestigious academic conferences and forums.

Dr. Raj Gopal has three years of teaching experience in Plastic Surgery with the National Board of Examinations, India. He is a life member of the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and the Kerala Plastic Surgeons’ Association and an associate member of the International Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. With a special interest in cosmetic surgery and minimally invasive procedures, he is building his cosmetic surgery practice in the region, along with the good volume of hand and reconstructive surgeries he does.
