Dr.Santosh Mathew Naliath is our Consultant and Head of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery.  He is an alumnus of the prestigious Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Punjab, India, and had completed his post-graduation in Cardiothoracic Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College & Associated G.B. Pant and LNJPN Hospitals, New Delhi. He has extensive experience 35 years in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, 15 years in India, and 20 years in UAE

Professional Biography

He has worked as an Associate Professor of Cardiac Surgery at CMC Ludhiana and as  Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Trichur Heart Hospital. He started the new Cardiac Surgery Department in Al Qassimi Hospital, Sharjah under MOH in 2003 and was Head of the Department for 12 years and has developed the department to excellence.

He has vast experience in all types of Cardiac Surgical procedures viz. Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Surgery (CABG) both on the pump and off-pump, Cardiac valve repair and replacement, Repair of Aortic Aneurysms, Correction of congenital cardiac defects, Resection of cardiac tumors and all Thoracic and vascular operations including VATS with excellent results
